A global $3B manufacturing company is looking for a VP of Information Technology and Systems who will be a pivotal member of the company’s executive team and will be responsible for delivering reliable, high-performance IS systems and infrastructure supporting multinational operations of the company. This person will design and implement the company’s long-term technology strategy, identify cost and productivity improvements, implement security frameworks and practices across the network.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the Division IS function for North America (US-Canada-Mexico) and provide strategic guidance, policy support and indirect direction to the rest of the Americas
Ensure that IS services are available 7x24 to the businesses with minimal disruptions for planned maintenance
Ensures that IS has backup and contingency strategies to minimize risks of outages, downtime, and any other event that could affect operations. Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
Maintain SOX compliance within all IT processes and procedures
Manage 3rd party providers and insure that appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA) are in place and enforced.
Protect the company against cyber security threats by keeping abreast of the latest technologies that are appropriate for our business
Develops and executes capital plan for IT resources including systems/software architecture, hardware and outside services
Manage staff consisting of approximately 60 professionals located throughout North America including directors, senior managers and additional staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or a combination of education and experience. Advanced degree a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience as a leader in IT/Networking/Project Management with focus on:
Vendor management (Microsoft, IBM, SAP, Etc.).
Experience with legacy system (AS400), ERP systems and SAP a plus
Ability to negotiate and manage multi- year international contracts
Budgeting and Forecasting
Complex Project Management
Cost Management- consistently demonstrate the ability to remove cost
10+ years working across global borders in a matrix management organization
5+ years working with internal business customers (Manufacturing, Production Planning, Sourcing, Sales, Accounting, HR, etc.).

Additional to the technical requirements for this specific position, the company seeks candidates that will demonstrate:
Bilingual language skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English and Spanish. Portuguese language skills a plus.

Ability to travel 25%, both domestically and internationally
Prior experience in manufacturing industry in global or international settings
Strong IT technical skills with experience in multiple platforms, with proven leadership of a complex IT organization
